		<description>A really thoughtful article - I too for a long time have thought about why we need to continue using old technology (even by school standards!) when there are far better, more cost effective alternatives. To me Design and Technology, and in particular the ECT related options, should be at the forefront of technological development. What does it say about our subject if we are teaching students about technology that they will never encounter in the real industrial world?</description>
